More than 50 percent of the Pulaski county’s residents have received at least one dose of the Covid 19 vaccine,
There’s good news and bad news in the current fight against Covid in Pulaski County. According to figures released by the Pulaski County Health Center in Crocker, more than 50 percent of the county’s residents have received at least one dose of the Covid 19 vaccine, 50.5 percent to be precise, and 41.3 percent have received their second dose of the vaccine. The bad news is 13 people now have died from Covid since July 1st. There were only 2 Covid-related deaths in the first six months of the year. According to the latest stats, 140 new cases were recorded in the county for the August 8th through 15th time frame, which is slightly less than the week before. This makes two weeks in a row with a reduction in the weekly infection rate. Pulaski County, however, is still considered a high-risk transmission county for the virus by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
