(Fort Leonard Wood)–Ground has been broken for the new General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital on Fort Leonard Wood. The ceremony Monday afternoon was attended by Missouri 4th District U-S Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler and a contingent of military dignitaries and civilian leaders.
The Commanding General of the U-S Army Medical Command, Lieutenant General Scott Dingle, was one of two three-star generals who spoke at the ceremony.

Major construction on Fort Leonard Wood’s replacement hospital is set to begin this summer, with an expected occupancy of the new facility in autumn 2024.
