MoDOT announces road maintenance and construction projects that are taking place this week
The Central Missouri District of the Missouri Department of Transportation has announced road maintenance and construction projects that are taking place this week in the area. In Camden County, road resurfacing and guardrail installation and replacement are continuing on Highway 5 from the Niangua River Bridge to Missouri Route 52 in Morgan County. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p-m and 6 a-m between Route 52 and Missouri Route 7. On Laclede County Route U, sealing operations are planned to take place today. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. In Miller County, pavement repair work is planned today through Thursday on Routes E, K, KK, PP, and TT. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. On Route C, bridge replacement work will continue this week. The road is currently closed at the Brumley Creek Bridge. The project is scheduled for completion in September 2023. In Phelps County, pavement repair work is planned today through Thursday on Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. Road resurfacing continues on Missouri Route 68. Expect nightly lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Route 68 at Matlock Drive to Route 8 at Courtois Creek. And, of course, road resurfacing continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Route 68. In Pulaski County this week, pavement repair work is planned on Route O. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. And bridge rehabilitation work continues over I-44 in St. Robert. The off-ramp from eastbound I-44 is currently closed from the Interstate up to Missouri Avenue-Route Y at exit 161. The project is scheduled for completion next month.
