In a break with tradition, the Sustainable Ozarks Partnership held its annual meeting this meeting online due to the coronavirus. The meeting featured a combination of live and recorded reports from Federal and State elected officials and other shareholders. The meeting was presided over by Sustainable Ozarks Executive Director Dorsey Newcomb.
Missouri U-S Senator Roy Blunt talked about securing enough Federal dollars to complete the new hospital that is being built at Fort Leonard Wood.

Missouri’s junior U-S Senator Josh Hawley also participated this year.

Meanwhile, Missouri 8th District U-S Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler talked about the House version of this year’s Nationals Defense Authorization Act.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson also spoke, as well as Missouri’s Military Advocate Joe Driskill.
They said Fort Leonard Wood’s annual economic impact in the state is 29.2 billion dollars, or about 9 percent of the state total. The post supports 180,000 jobs, or 7 percent of the total statewise. There are 43,520 total military personnel at Fort Wood.
