The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports two people died in traffic crashes during the 30-hour 2019 Christmas holiday counting period. Troopers with the Highway Patrol investigated a total of 91 crashes, that involved 23 injuries, and two deaths. According to the Highway Patrol, both fatalities occurred in the Troop C, on Christmas Day, with one person being on a motorcycle and the other was not wearing a seatbelt. In addition, Troopers investigated 18 DWI’s. The 2019 Christmas counting period ran from 6 p.m., Tuesday, December 24, 2019, through 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, December 25, 2019.
