Missouri one of the worst states for driving, according to a new survey by Wallet-Hub. In ranking each U-S state from best to worst, Missouri comes in at 45, with key categories including ownership and maintenance costs of highway systems, traffic and infrastructure, and overall safety. Hood says a 2017 report from the National Safety Council gave Missouri a letter grade of “F,” while ranking 49th in roadway safety. Neighboring Iowa came in at number one as the safest state for driving. Another Missouri neighbor, Oklahoma, was ranked 4th-safest, while Kansas ranks as the 9th-safest state for drivers.
