Missouri needs a beef processing plant

A veteran state lawmaker says Missouri needs a beef processing plant. Osceola State Representative Warren Love, who’s also a rancher, notes Missouri is second in the nation in cattle:

Love, whose western Missouri district includes Warsaw and Wheatland, attended Thursdays legislative Joint Committee on Agriculture hearing in Jefferson City. Portageville State Representative Don Rone testified that an effort is underway to get a new slaughter facility in Missouri.
