Missouri Music and Musicians to be presented at Leach Theater May 7th at 8:00 PM

The Leach Theatre, on the campus of Missouri S&T in Rolla, has announced a special event of “Missouri Music and Musicians,” on May 7th at 8:00 PM. This concert presentation will be performed by Carolbeth True & Friends, a six-piece ensemble of top St. Louis musicians. The Sheldon Concert Hall in St Louis created the “Missouri Music and Musicians” program at the request of the Missouri Arts Council, which grew out of their “Show Me the Music” project in 2021 when Missouri celebrated its Bicentennial. The concert will feature ragtime, blues, jazz, R&B, rock, and pop, including music by Chuck Berry, Charlie Parker, Clark Terry, Scott Joplin, and Tina Turner. A complimentary reception for ticket holders will take place before the event from 7-8:00 p.m. in the Leach Theatre lobby, where hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.
