The mayor of an eastern Missouri town has been charged with election fraud. According to the office of Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, Berkley Missouri Mayor Theodore “Ted” Hoskins, is accused of altering absentee ballots, to influence the city council election. Hoskins has been charged with one felony count of forgery and four felony counts of committing an election offense.
Hoskins, a former Missouri State Representative, was elected to the mayors seat in 2012. A special prosecutor will be brought in to present state’s evidence.
