The Missouri Department of Conservation has scheduled 4 classes for a one-day clinic for women who want to learn the fundamentals of handgun ownership. Instructor Travis Mills with MDC says the class will give women an opportunity to learn how to shoot and more…

According to Mills, women’s handgun shooting is one of the fastest-growing shooting sports, and these classes are for women only. The classes are open to women age 16 and older and will take place at various times on Saturday, October 24th at Big Piney Sportsman Club in Houston. Register online under the events tab at the MDC.mo.gov website, by Friday, October 23rd. Participants may bring their own personal handgun if they provide the ammunition. The gun also must be unloaded and in a case. For those who don’t bring their own, all equipment will be furnished, including guns, ammo, targets, eye, and ear protection.
