Missouri Department of Agriculture has announced the availability of Food Insecure Cost-Share Grant funds of up to 50-thousand

The Missouri Department of Agriculture has announced the availability of Food Insecure Cost-Share Grant funds of up to 50-thousand dollars per project to fund projects that support farmers’ markets and other economic development initiatives that work to reduce food insecurity in urban areas. The project must be within several local urban areas, including Fort Leonard Wood-St. Robert-Waynesville, Camdenton, Eldon, Lebanon, Osage Beach, Rolla, and Village of the Four Seasons. Applications for the grant funds must benefit residents affected by food insecurity in urban areas and are due by August 31st. Applicants will only be reimbursed for 75 percent of the total project expenses made during the grant period. Projects must be complete or near completion and ready for inspection by March 31st of next year.
