(Jefferson City)–There’s a freeze coming on, and it’s not the weather.

That’s Governor Mike Parson announcing Wednesday that he’s freezing 180 million dollars in spending during the current state budget year to deal with the economic impact of the coronavirus. The cuts will affect the Missouri Departments of Higher Education and Workforce Development, Office of Administration, Transportation, Economic Development and Natural Resources.
During Parson’s daily press briefing, he said additional budget restrictions could be ahead, depending on the financial outcome the coronavirus has.
