Missouri 122nd District State Representative Bill Hardwick of Waynesville says HR 1 would allow the federal government to take control of all elections in the United States.

Missouri should stand firm against the Voting Rights Act, HR1, the first bill passed by the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives in January. Missouri 122nd District State Representative Bill Hardwick of Waynesville says the Act would allow the federal government to take control of all elections in the United States.
The bill is currently stalled in a divided U-S Senate. The Democrats can’t pass the bill on their own unless they can eliminate the Senate filibuster. At least two Democrats say they won’t vote for eliminating the filibuster. A third Democrat Senator is recovering from a stroke and it isn’t known when he can return to Washington to cast a vote.
