The Miller County Sheriff’s department believes they have recovered the body of a man reported missing on Tuesday. Deputies received a call Wednesday from a camper at the Osage-Tavern Conservation area near Saint Elizabeth. The caller reported a possible missing fisherman. After interviews investigators say the man went unintentionally into the Osage River. The sheriff’s office said after a three-day search involving the Osage County Sheriff’s office, Missouri State Water Patrol, and the Missouri Department of Conservation, authorities were alerted of a male body in Cole County Friday near the St. Thomas boat access. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the man has been identified as 54-year old Randall C. Voss of Iberia. No foul play is suspected, but the investigation is continuing.
