Miller County Man Facing Charges In Death Of Child
A 26 year old man from Eldon is facing charges after a child that was in his care shot and killed himself on Sunday. The investigation began when Eldon Police responded to a call about a shooting in a home in Eldon involving a juvenile. The adult in the home, Albert Keel told the Detective that he was up until 6am playing on a gaming system with his friends and when he went to bed, he left a loaded handgun on a table in the living room. According to Keel’s statement, while he was asleep, the child got the gun down and shot himelf. The child was found in a bedroom floor with a gunshot wound and died at the scene. A warrant was issued for Keel’s arrest for felony Endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree.
