Miller County Jail to get upgrades

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is one of 43 that will receive a portion of nearly $10-million in grant funds to make improvements to the County jail. Earlier this week Governor Parson’s office announced that Miller County has been awarded a grant of more than $349-thousand. Sheriff Louie Gregoire said he will use the grant funding to update the electronics in the jail and focus on the safety of staff and detainees…..

The Miller County Jail is around 25 years old and in some instances, the original infrastructure is in place. This is an ARPA grant and is administered by the Department of Public Safety. Sheriff Gregoire said they will use local ARPA funds to match the grant.
