The Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments will be hosting a series of public meetings to get public input into the local hazard mitigation plan for Miller County. A Hazard Mitigation Plan is established to prepare a county and its jurisdictions for natural disasters and assess the hazards that could happen in a city and the impacts it has on the county’s
property and people. The assessment is also used to help the county secure funding from FEMA and SEMA. For more information about the planning process or copies of the current plan, please call Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments at 573-346-5692.
