Military Children Honored

Each April, Missouri honors the sacrifices made by the state’s roughly 12-thousand military children – and some of the schools who join forces to help them. Purple Star Designations have been awarded to Warrensburg, Knob Noster, Blair Oaks, Carl Junction, De Soto, Hickory County, and St. Clair for helping their military students to thrive. Michaela Moreau (more-RO), a seventh grader at Waynesville Public Schools, says her district is different from some of the other schools she has attended.

Schools that earn the designation will get a special Purple Star recognition to display onsite and on their website.
