Missouri VOTERS APPROVED A ballot measure to expand Medicaid to another 230,000 low-income Missouri adults. Expansion supporter Ryan Barker, of the Missouri Foundation for Health, says right now a family of three can only make around 4,000 dollars a year to qualify for Medicaid.

The measure won in the major metro areas of the state, while most of the rural areas voted against it.

Jack Cardetti, a spokesperson for the Yes On 2 campaign, says the passage of this measure will not only provide healthcare but will also benefit the economy.

Amendment 2 passed by just over 51-percent of the vote.
