MDC Partners on Bald Eagle Project

Atchinson County started working on a wind turbine and bald eagle project that will take multiple years to finish. Wind turbines have been killing bald eagles, so the MDC has teamed up with Conservation Science Global INC, and The Renewable Energy Wildlife Institute to see how bald eagles interact and move across the landscape. Their goal is to find out if there is a negative wind interexchange. Janet Haslerig with MDC says they will be putting GPS on eagles.
