MDC Breaks Ground on New Stream Site

The Missouri Department of Conservation has broke ground on a new site. The old stream off of Jerome Access has been moved a mile south due to many floodings. The location of the new stream is much better, and 60 percent of it is out of the flood plane. The MDC’S goal is to limit the flooding, so they moved the stream higher up. Francis Skaliscky with the MDC says it’s a great entry to the Gasconade river and it’s a beautiful landscape that had to be restored.

Skaliscky says that the Gasconade River has a reputation.

The MDC plans to be finished in late summer.
