May 11 marks the beginning of National Police Week and Police Survivors Conference
This week communities across Missouri are celebrating law enforcement officers who serve their communities with Back the Blue week. Next week, there will be ceremonies honoring Law Enforcement Officers who died in the line of duty. National Police Week is May 11th through the 17th and this year 563 officers will be honored during ceremonies in Washington D.C. Concerns of Police Survivors will hold programs for kids and teens during the Survivors Conference and a Picnic event for survivors. National Police Week will include a Candlelight Vigil on May 13th, and the Peace Officers Memorial Service will be on May 15th in Washington D.C.
