3 teachers from Laclede County Schools have been awarded the Homer & Lovenna Massey Memorial Teaching Scholarship. This year, Lebanon Area Foundation received nine applications from teachers for the Massey Memorial Teaching Scholarship.

The scholarships were awarded to Jacala Hartman, a Math teacher at Joel E. Barber. Sarah Mather, an English, Language Arts, and Social Studies teacher at Boswell Elementary .Amanda Miller, a Math teacher at Lebanon High School. Since it’s inception, the Homer and Lovenna Massey Scholarship has been awarded to 42 area educators since it was established with the Lebanon Area Foundation in 1995. This unique scholarship was established as an endowed fund by the family of educators Homer & Lovenna Massey. The scholarship fund provides scholarships from $150 up to $750 for teachers to further their education with emphasis on excellence as an educator.
