Coach Pilz on the WHS Tigers –
”We played well in the first half. We struggled against the press tonight in the second half. We will need to get in the gym and work on our press breaker. We were without one of our guards tonight who will be out indefinitely. Are game prep on Sunday and Monday had him available. We will get an opportunity to practice the next couple of days and we will improve in that area.”
“ I was proud of our effort this evening. Our group is facing some adversity right now. We will use it as a growth opportunity. There are some valuable lessons to learn. We talk to our guys all the time about two things that require no talent. Your availability is your best ability. Your second best ability is to act right.”
“The sun will come up tomorrow and we will get back to work. We are focused on improving each day and want to challenge for a district title. That is still in front of us and we will be a tough out”.

All 11 players got to see some action tonight. We have been playing a little better lately. We played 4 games in 5 days and you could tell by our jump shooting tonight that our legs are tired. Hopefully a day off will get us re-energized as we make this run into the end of the regular season and get ready for districts.
