Marshfield schools will adopt a four-day school week beginning in August of this year. The district said the driving force behind the change is a worker shortage from teachers, substitutes, and transportation workers.

Marshfield Superintendent, Mike Henry said the school board is leaning towards Monday being the day off and said that school will be about 30 minutes longer Tuesday through Friday, and every other Monday would be used as a teacher workday. The vote by the Marshfield R-1 school board was unanimous.
