Market Animal Sale an Overwhelming Success
The Market Animal Sale was a huge success last night at the Laclede County Fair. The sale of the animals that were shown during the fair raised over $174,000, money paid to area youth who spend months raising their animals. Laclede County Fair Board President Glen Raef was amazed at the bidding.
He says work will continue soon on next year’s animals.
Last night’s auction was conducted by the Knight Auction Service and continues a tradition that spans 44 years.
The fair continues today with the feature event, a Truck and Tractor Pull getting underway at 7:00 p.m.
