Marijuana Sales Helping Public Defender System
Missouri’s marijuana sales are helping the state Public Defender System to the tune of 1.2-million dollars this state budget year. Last year, Missouri voters approved the legalization of marijuana, allowing some of the sales tax revenue to help provide legal help to low-income Missourians accused of a crime.
