Maries County Home Explodes

Members of the Maries County Sheriff’s Office, Belle Fire, Vichy Fire, Bland Fire, Owensville Fire, & Vienna Fire Departments all responded to a report of a house explosion on Highway 28 about 1/2 mile from the Kingsford manufacturing entrance in Belle early this morning.

The resident, an elderly female, was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis with what was described as severe burns. The Missouri State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate. The name of the victim has not been released.
