Marcus Hill Sentenced For Multitude Of Crimes

A Lebanon man, 34-year-old Marcus Hill, has been sentenced by a judge for a series of offenses that encompassed sex crimes involving children, theft, and fraudulent business practices.

Hill was handed a 28-year prison term by 26th Circuit Judge Kenneth Hayden.

According to investigators, the sex crimes involving children can be traced back to 2013. Investigators with the Laclede County Sheriff’s Department revealed that Hill would isolate a child from their peers to commit these acts and had even attempted to buy the victim’s silence.

Reports say Hill is a ten-time convicted felon, and in August of 2021, officials say a woman stated after turning 14 years old, sexual contact between her and Hill would happen two to three times a week. Investigators say Hill would say she is meeting him to do chores and have the other adults that were around go run errands.

In addition to the sex crimes, Hill also faced thirteen violations of the Missouri Merchandising Practices Act in connection with his two car dealerships, Variety Auto Sales and Hilltop Auto Sales. Earlier this year, Hill was ordered to pay $27,000 to eight drivers to compensate for their losses due to not receiving certificates of titles or promised warranty work.
