A 67-year-old Mansfield woman is facing charges following a three-vehicle crash at 10:10 last night on U.S. Highway 60 in Seymour in Webster County. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by Marilyn K. Hawkins of Mansfield was heading west in the eastbound lane of the highway, and struck a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old unnamed juvenile, then side-swiped a U-Haul truck driven by 55-year-old Matthew T. Vicker of Colorado Springs, Colorado. A passenger in the juvenile’s vehicle, 82-year-old Thomas J. Peachey of Sarasota, Florida, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Hawkins suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Hawkins faces charges of felony driving while intoxicated, with serious physical injury, and careless and imprudent driving involving a traffic crash.
