Manna Church received the Community Recognition Plaque for November during the Waynesville R-VI Board of Education meeting. Manna Church generously donated free meals to every teacher and staff member at the Waynesville Sixth Grade Center and Waynesville Middle School during their teacher-in service day on Friday, November 12th. The church’s goal was to show love and appreciation for teachers and staff for their hard work with no strings attached. In addition, the church also stocked the staff refrigerator at Freedom Elementary with soft drinks, flavored waters, snacks, et cetera. Hilary Bales, assistant superintendent of personnel services, and Dr. Brian Henry, superintendent, presented the Community Recognition Award to LeAron and Staci Tomlinson, representatives of Manna Church. Any local organizations or churches who are interested in showing support for a school’s staff members should call the Communications and Marketing Office at 573-842-2040 or email [email protected].
