Mandatory vaccinations underway at Fort Leonard Wood

Fort Leonard Wood authorities report that they have made great strides in implementing a Department of Defense directive to administer the Covid vaccine to all active-duty military who are not vaccinated. Colonel Aaron Bohrer, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence Chief of Operations and Director of Training, is not permitted to discuss the numbers of those vaccinated under this directive but did tell us the deadlines for completing the directive.

He said military personnel still have the option of taking a valid religious or medical exemption from receiving the vaccine.
Colonel Bohrer’s comments were made during a media roundtable Thursday afternoon.
