Rybolt jumped out of the car, and allegedly attempted to carjack a vehicle, at the traffic light, but was apprehended by police.
He was placed in handcuffs and put in a patrol vehicle, but he broke the cage partition, and climbed into the driver’s seat, and stole the patrol car. He then crashed the patrol car in Porto Cima, got out, and attempted to steal another vehicle. He then broke into a house and stole a key to a personal watercraft, was attempting to steal it when the water patrol pulled up. The car that the Rybolt was originally driving had been reported stolen in Columbia and was full of stolen property. Rybolt is facing multiple charges in Miller and Camden County, including assault, tampering with a motor vehicle, escape from custody, burglary, stealing, and property damage.
