Man Receives Multiple Charges in Robbery of Linn Creek Business

A Bonne Terre man has received multiple charges for a robbery. At approximately 6:40 Wednesday morning, Camden County Officers received a 911 call concerning a disturbance at the Y Road General Store in Linn Creek. While en route to the area, another caller notified 911 that she was being chased on foot down Crystal Springs Road by a man matching the description given of the suspect. The caller also claimed the man kicked her dog while she was trying to help him after he wrecked his vehicle. When deputies arrived on the scene, the man assaulted a deputy before being taken into custody. The man was identified as 43-year-old Jeffrey R Walker. During the investigation, deputies discovered Walker assaulted multiple people inside the General Store and demanded the clerk surrender the money in the register. Walker also damaged property inside the business and broke the glass out of the door when he left.

Walker was booked into the Camden County Adult Detention Facility and was charged with the Class B Felony of 2nd Degree Robbery, the Class E Felonies of 3rd Degree Assault,1st Degree Property Damage, 1st Degree Harassment, and DWI Persistent Offender, the Class A Misdemeanors of Assault in the 4th Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer, and 1st Degree Animal Abuse, and the Class B Misdemeanor of 2nd Degree Property Damage. Walker is being held without bond.
