Man found in his car in a Miller County pond identified

No foul play has been found so far in the death of a man found in a farm pond in Miller County earlier this month. The man has been identified as 58-year-old Dallas Murphy, of St. Charles. Multiple witnesses told investigators that Murphy had left a residence along Poplar Road in early January, intending to return to St. Charles. Murphy’s body was found inside his vehicle, in the pond, and investigators say they think Murphy had a medical emergency and drove off the right side of the road into the pond, where he was unable to rescue himself.
