Man Faces Charges After Wright County Crash

Three area residents suffered serious injuries following a single-vehicle crash at 8:12 last night (Sunday) on Highway F, 9 miles west of Hartville. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a pickup driven by 58-year-old Ricky R. Burris of Falcon ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert, went airborne, and struck several trees. Burris and a passenger, 66-year-old Clayton D. Sanders of Hartville, were taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Another passenger, 64-year-old Ladonna L. Coltrane of Hartville, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. None of the occupants of the pickup were wearing a safety device. Burris is facing charges of felony driving while intoxicated, resulting in serious physical injury and careless and imprudent driving.
