Man Drowns at Lake of the Ozarks
A 51-year old Peoria Illinois man drowned Sunday at Lake of the Ozarks. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that Stephen H. Jones was swimming at an unnamed cove at the 17.6-mile marker of the lake. He jumped off a diving board at around 6:15 Sunday night and never resurfaced. He was recovered and pronounced dead at 8:23 p.m. This is the 12th drowning at the Lake of the Ozarks this year.
