A man from Gravois MIlls is facing serious charges after being found passed out in a car with a 5 year old, on Saturday. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to Bear Paw Road, and found John Varvera unconscious with a needle sticking out of his arm and his 5 year old in the vehicle with him. Varvera was revived and was transported to an area hospital where he was determined to be fit for confinement. The 5 year old was released to the Children’s Division. When deputies searched Varvera’s car they found heroin and drug paraphernalia. Varvera is charged with felony endangering the welfare of a child and felony possession of a controlled substance, and is being held without bond.
