Buses for the Stoutland School District were delayed by a man, who was found to be in possession of a gun, this morning. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the school at around 6am, and located the man, who was refusing to allow the buses to leave, for their morning route. During the course of the investigation deputies seized a firearm, and it was later learned that he was a convicted felon for firearms violations. The man was being transported to the Camden County Jail, and attempted to flee the vehicle. Once inside the building, he tried to flee again, this time through an airlock at booking. The man is being held with charges pending.
