Man arrested in Rolla for allegedly transporting minors to engage in sexual activity faces more charges

A man who was arrested in Rolla on March 24th for allegedly transporting minors to engage in sexual activity faces more charges. 46-year-old Scott Arnold Micke, who was originally charged with sexual assault, transporting minors for the use of sex, and statutory rape, is the subject of a superseding indictment filed in the Eastern District of Missouri Federal Court.  The indictment cites a second unnamed victim who was as young as 16-year-old at the time of the allegations, that alleges the victim was illegally transported by Micke to engage in criminal sex acts from the spring of 2018 through approximately the fall of 2020. Included in the indictment is also a charge that Micke illegally possessed a firearm as a convicted felon. This latest development in the case follows an announcement earlier this week that a U-S District Court Judge in St. Louis has decided to keep Micke in federal custody until his trial. Micke’s defense team has until May 9th to file any pretrial motions. The original court documents have charged Micke with knowingly transporting an 11-year-old to engage in criminal sex acts.
