A man from Fairplay is facing multiple charges in Laclede County after leaving the scene of an accident. According to paperwork filed with the court, on Friday a Laclede County Deputy attempted to stop a car on South Washington which was traveling 35 miles per hour over the speed limit. The officer tried to get the car to stop and began pursuing. During the incident, the car driven by Nathaniel Brian Linerode ran into a car that was traveling on Michigan and took off again. The pursuit continued to YY Highway, on to Pelican, to BB, and then to the intersection at Highway 5 and BB, back into Lebanon, where Linerode ran into the back of a stopped semi-trailer. The car ran over the curb and then continued to flee until the car stopped on Maple Drive. The passenger in Linerodes car, who is 24 weeks pregnant, said she told Linerode to stop at least 9 times, and hit her head both times the car collided with the other vehicles. Linerode is charged with two counts of leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. He is being held without bond.
