Man accused of assaulting grandmother

A disturbance at an Osage Beach hotel has resulted in felony charges against a man from Jefferson City. On Tuesday night, officers responded to the call about a woman who was in the lobby bleeding from the head. When officers spoke with the victim they were told that she had been hit in the head by her grandson, Tristan Shawn Michael Planz. A short time later, officers found Planz walking on Osage Beach Parkway. During the investigation, it was determined that Planz had plated a butane canister in a sock and hit the woman in the head and arms repeatedly. 20 year old Tristan Shawn Michael Planz appeared in court on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to domestic assault and armed criminal action. He is being held in the Camden County Jail without bond.
