Making Lebanon Parks Safer

Lebanon City Council received a high-level presentation on a draft of the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget on Thursday night, with staff providing input about some of the projects they are planning. Revenue for the City of Lebanon Parks, including sales tax revenue, is estimated to come in at around $1.6-million which will allow for the purchase of a new mower, lights for walking trails, sidewalks connecting Harke and Nelson Park, with the largest budget item being the redesign of Wallace Park. Parks Director John Shelton said they are also looking at a type of weather monitoring system..

Shelton said the system they are looking at is run by professionals….

Shelton estimates the cost of the system over a 5-year period will be about $45-thousand-dollars.
