Lodging tax collection increase for FY 23

The Lebanon Tourism Department is the marketing department for the area which brings visitors to the Lebanon area. The local funds come from a lodging tax that is charged when someone stays in hotels, motels and vacation rentals. Lebanon Tourism Director Rebecca Rupard tells us the numbers are up

The Tourism Department is able to leverage the local Lodging Tax with state grant dollars, and market the area to people who live in other parts of the country and international visitors. The Lebanon Tourism Department will be conducting a Visitor Profile Study, which Rupard says will allow them to determine where visitors are coming from and market to them.
