Local Police Chief charged with assault

The Police Chief of Linn Creek is scheduled to appear in court on March 2nd on a charge of domestic assault. 49 year old Gregory Berry is accused of throwing the victim into the baby crib, grabbed her forcefully and handcuffed her, while in their home, on October 10th. The alleged assault investigation was turned over to the Highway Patrol, after the victim reported to the emergency room for treatment. Berry is currently free on his own recognizance.
