Leonard Floy Parrack, age 84, of Elkland, Mo passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 14, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born January 8, 1940, to the late Marion Leonard and Iva Pearl (Adams) Parrack. He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Shirley Jean Meadors, on October 14, 1961, in Springfield, Missouri. To this union, two daughters were born. Leonard and Shirley lived in Polk County most of their married life but lived in Dallas County during their Golden Years. Shirley preceded him in death September 12, 2017.

Leonard attended both Louisburg and Buffalo Schools. He graduated from Buffalo High School in 1958.
He was saved at the age of 21 in the floorboard of a feed truck beside 13 Highway. He was called to preach in 1961 and answered his call in 1972. He laid up many prayers for family and friends as he pastored many churches over the years until his health no longer allowed. He was a faithful member of Lindley Creek Missionary Baptist Church at the time of his passing.

Leonard milked in his younger years. He drove a milk truck and feed truck. He then worked at Tindle Mills where he retired after 37 years. After retirement from Tindle Mills, he drove a school bus for 19 years and completed his working years with OATS, where he drove for 3 years.

Leonard is survived by two daughters, Tamela Jones and husband Andy, Rogersville, Kimberly Perry and husband Scott, Elkland. Six grandchildren: Derrick Smead, Bailey Williams, Clinton Perry, Corbin Perry, Lane Jones, and Chloe Jones. One great grandson, Ryker Williams. A sister, Judy Desmond and husband Greg, Manchester, Missouri. His sister-in-law, Sharon Jones and husband Jim, Springfield. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Leonard was also preceded in death by his brothers Johnnie Dale Parrack, James Arlie Parrack, Leroy Dawson, Robbie Jameson, and a sister, Ona Edwards.

Services for Leonard will be at Cantlon Otterness Viets on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 12 p.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time. Brother Kip Baker will officiate with Brother Kenny Moulder reading the obituary. Burial will follow at Lindley Creek Cemetery in Goodson. Escorts will be Scott Perry, Andy Jones, Derrick Smead, Clinton Perry, Dwayne McIntire, Leonard Miller, Brad Jackson, and Jim Jones.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lindley Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
