That’s a wrap. The Missouri Legislature has passed a roughly 49-billion-dollar state budget proposal. The spending plan includes 3.6-billion in state aid to schools and 2.8-billion to widen I-70 to at least three lanes from Wentzville to Blue Springs. State Senator Lauren Arthur, a Kansas City Democrat, is pleased with the budget bill to fund K-12 public education.

Another 300 million would build a psychiatric hospital in Kansas City and 11.5-million to fight Missouri’s black vulture problems. The next stop for the plan is the governor, who will decide what he likes and what he does not like.
