Legislation To Mandate 5-Day School Week In Metros

The provision is for Missouri charter counties and cities with more than 30-thousand people may adopt a four-day school week, but only through asking the voters by way of a ballot measure. Beck admits that he wanted to go statewide with his provision but received Republican pushback from rural parts of Missouri.
