Legislation Filed to Offset Rising Gas Prices

With the ongoing crisis in Ukraine, on top of circumstances regarding COVID-19, gas prices are surging higher than ever before. One Missouri State Representative is hoping to change that. State Representative Adam Schwarden has filed House Bill 2801, which proposes to create a one-time, six-month tax holiday on motor fuel sales in the state of Missouri. Representative Schwarden explains more.

Representative Schwarden says he wants to look within America’s own borders when it comes to natural resources, even after the crisis in Ukraine has ended.

The Bill has been introduced and read for the first time, but no actions have been taken.
