Lebanon Woman Injured In Highway 5 Accident

A Lebanon woman suffered moderate injuries following a three-vehicle accident at 1:55 Wednesday afternoon on Missouri Highway 5, 3 miles north of Lebanon. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a car driven by 75-year-old Ethel L. Wood of Lebanon was slowing to turn off Highway 5 when she was hit in the rear by an S.U.V. driven by 29-year-old Sierra D. Sherrell, also of Lebanon. Sherrell’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck a tractor-trailer driven by 61-year-old Ricky D. Glasgow of Keokuk, Iowa. Wood was transported to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach with moderate injuries. A two and five-year-old in Sherrell’s vehicle were taken to Lake Regional with minor injuries. All involved in the accident were wearing a safety device, except Wood.
